Jim Manatt is the founder and CEO of Thrust Energy, Inc. He was President / COO of Permian Exploration Corporation prior to Providence. He is co-inventor and owner of patent-pending 3D seismic beam US patent 8,077,547, Directed Beam Seismic©, an advanced geophysical focusing technology as a unique competitive advantage improving seismic data resolution, along with methods for direct porosity detection of bypassed oil in existing fields. His companies are recognized in industry for advanced technical contributions leading to the discovery of multiple TCF new natural gas reserves in the West Texas Overthrust and 200 million barrels of new oil reserves in Masila Block, Yemen. He served as Regent and Regent President (Board Chairman) of New Mexico State University with fiduciary responsibility for some 2,500 employees and a 450 million annual operating budget, 1999-2006. He is a Distinguished Military Graduate and holds a BA, NMSU. He is immediate past President, Roswell Geological Society with professional standing in the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, the Canadian, Permian Basin, Houston and Denver societies, and he is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.

Dr. Lee Russell Lee Russell, PhD, Geology and Geophysics
Lee Russell is the industry leading, recognized, published expert (geology & geophysics) in the venture’s target basin. He has studied, analyzed, explored, drilled, discovered and evaluated the basin for some 30 years for major oil companies and independent operators. During Lee’s career he has led and contributed to exploration teams’ major discoveries world-wide as a consultant for Pemex in the Gulf of Mexico, and independent operators in Africa, Southeast Asia and South America. He was President, Clovis Exploration, LLC involving major Mozambique exploratory drilling programs and Vice President, Wilrusco, Inc., working in Africa, New Zealand and the U.S. Rockies. At ARCO, he is credited with world-class multi-TCF discoveries in Mozambique, also exploring in China, Alaska, the North Sea and Norway. He led and taught field seminars within the company on extensional tectonics in the Rio Grande Rift region of New Mexico. At Shell Oil he worked as Senior Geologist, U.S. Rockies and Basin & Range, beginning his career as a Research Geologist. While completing his PhD in Geology & Geophysics at Texas Tech, he taught undergraduate Geology. He earned his MS, Geology from Texas Tech and his BA, Geology from Ohio Wesleyan, and completed a summer internship with Sun Oil International.
